Box and One
一盯四联 防守阵型
As one of the most common combination defenses, this setup leaves one individual to guard one specific player, usually the star opponent or player with the hot hand, while the rest of the defense forms a box shape in the paint.
（一盯四联）作为最常见的混合型防守战术之一，它所采用的防守策略为一名队员防守对手的某一名特定队员，通常该队员是对手的明星球员，或者手感正热的某一名球员，其余四名防守队员在限制区以箱型/方型落位防守。
Box 原意是箱子、盒子，本文译作箱型、方型

Box and One
一盯四联防阵型之：箱型站位/方型站位
In a box-and-one defense, four players play zone defense, and align themselves in a box protecting the basket, with typically the two larger players playing directly under the basket, and the two smaller players playing towards the foul line.
在一盯四联防守阵型中，四名队员区域联防，呈箱型/方型站位，保护篮筐，通常两名高大队员在篮下落位，两名小个子队员在罚球线区域落位。
Zone defense 区域联防（每位防守队员固定负责防守一个区域，不随进攻队员跑位而离开所盯防的区域）
Foul line 罚球线，也称作 Freethrow Line
The fifth defensive player in a box-and-one defense plays man-to-man defense, typically marking the best offensive player on the other team.
第五名防守队员采用盯人防守，通常盯防对手最佳进攻队员。
man-to-man defense 人盯人防守，与区域联防相对应，防守队员紧跟自己所负责盯防的对象，也称对位盯防

A box-and-one defense is usually used against teams with one dominant scoring threat. Players such as Allen Iverson and Ray Allen often faced box-and-one defensive schemes.

The defense was notably used in games 2, 4, and 6 of the 2019 NBA Finals between the Toronto Raptors and Golden State Warriors.

The Raptors utilized a box-and-one defense late in game 2 in order to shut down Steph Curry as he was the lone offensive scoring threat once Klay Thompson left with an injury and Kevin Durant was ruled out.

In game 4, the Raptors once again employed the same defense in a 105–92 win to take a 3–1 series lead. After Thompson was injured in game 6, the Raptors again employed the box-and-one against Curry and won the game to win the championship.

In addition to the notable to use of the box-and-one defense in the NBA Finals against Stephen Curry, the Brooklyn Nets used this defensive scheme against shooting guard Bradley Beal of the Washington Wizards, in a regular season game on February 26, 2020.

This layout is similar to box & one, but instead of a box with two players at the free throw line and two on the baseline, the shape rotates to form a diamond with one defender at the foul line and baseline, respectively.
这个落位阵型类似于Box and One，不过它不是留两名球员在罚球线上和两名球员在底线上组成的箱型，而是由一名防守者在罚球线，另一名在底线落位，形成菱形站位的防守阵型。

The biggest weakness of a box-and-one defense is its vulnerability to a pass to the middle of the "box". As there is no defensive player responsible for this area of the court, offensive teams are able to exploit the gap.
一盯四联最大的缺陷就是，对于对手将球传进“Box”的防守能力比较弱，因为没人专门负责防守这个区域，进攻队员很容易趁虚而入。

A pass to the middle of the box or to the top of the box will generally yield a short-range shot from inside the key. Or, it will “collapse” the box, causing the four zone defenders to fall inside the key and, upon a second pass, yielding a wide open and uncontested look from the perimeter.
对手将球传进“Box”或传到“Box”上方，很可能会制造出限制区内短距离投篮的机会，或者将箱型落位阵型打乱，导致四名联防队员在限制区内收缩防守，然后对手再传球到外线后，可以毫无压力地空位出手。
It is for this reason that the box-and-one defense is not often seen in professional leagues.
这也是为什么一盯四联防在职业篮球赛场上并不多见的原因。
